On your apple tv, go to settings > accounts > icloud and turn off my photo stream. confirm that you want to delete photos. turn on my photo stream again. (then icloud pushes your stored photos to your device.) without internet, updates to my photo stream won't appear in photos. from your mac, choose system preferences > icloud.. With apple tv, you have ability to log into icloud so you can view your photos stored there. it’s easy then to use these photos as your screen saver or a slideshow, which you can then proudly display on your tv. you might be well-acquainted by now with icloud photo sharing. basically, if you own. Apple tv doesn’t download your photos and videos, it streams them from your icloud. this means that before you get to use photos on apple tv you must activate photo sharing on icloud on your iphone , ipad , mac or pc, which means enabling icloud photo library , my photo stream or icloud photo sharing on your devices..

The photo stream would be available directly on apple tv (the new icloud photo library is not yet supported), when going through itunes it is to use home sharing (sharing photos from the local mac) more less.
